Social Entrepreneurship

As a Social Entrepreneurship Fellow at Pine Crest, I’m part of a selective program for students committed to using business as a force for good. Over the past three years, I’ve applied economics and finance to ventures focused on innovation, ethics, and social impact.
That work led my team to present DETECHT, a concussion-detection headband for female athletes, at the MIT Entrepreneurship Club’s Global Competition. Out of 500+ teams from over 40 countries, we were named global champions—earning first place across all categories.
We recently earned another top honor at the SPARK Hollywood Pitch Competition, where DETECHT won first place and $5,000 in funding—competing as the only high school team among adult-led startups.
These experiences have strengthened my belief in the power of socially driven ventures—and in my ability to help lead them.
